Hosta ''Tokudama Aureonebulosa'' Another gardening year is coming to a close, and the banquet marked the end of our hosta meetings for this year. The banquet was wonderful once again, with great food, an interesting speaker, and lots of friends. A big 'thank you' goes out to all who helped make the banquet such a wonderful evening, and to those who attended, also! The end of this year also marks the end of my presidency, and the beginning of Connie Zuercher's. I want to thank the wonderful board members, who do such a great job each year! They make being President easy, and I really enjoyed serving with them..

As the weather cools and our gardens begin to fade into dormancy, we can begin to plan for next year. I plan to make many changes to my garden next spring, and it is always fun to sit inside a warm house on a cold day and dream of Spring. Take the time to enjoy the rest that comes with winter in the garden, but be sure also to take time to dream and imagine the possibilities that come with each Spring in the garden.,

Warmly,

Sue Eckhoff, CIHS President
