May 20 Tuesday Garden Meeting - Bring a lawn chair

6:30PM Meeting Start
Location: Roger and Kathy Becker's Garden 6328 S. Navajo Dr. Peoria, Illinois
Program: Planning, Construction and Caring for a Pond
Roger will speak on “The Tribulations and Trials of Making a Pond” (maybe some good stuff too!).Come and hear Roger talk about their gardens but mainly about the planning, implementing and maintenance of their soon to be completed new pond!
Presenters: Roger Becker with maybe input from Kathy!
Directions:(From Google Maps) take 74 West to Galesburg. Take 474 East to Indianapolis. Turn rt onto Airport Road the left onto R 49. Left onto W. Chippewa Rd then left onto S. Navajo Dr. The address is on the right.
Snacks and water will be provided.
If you are interested in opening your garden for a meeting in 2026, please contact Jane Mottram renaire@msn.com or 309-231-3242. It is not too early to plan and you will have a year to prepare!

THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO FREE EVENTS - If you are not registered to attend all of the events for the convention, you can still come and view for FREE the Vendors Marketplace (garden vendors from across the USA) and the Hosta Leaf Show (view hosta leaves in many categories and floral designs with hostas that were entered for competition).
HOURS: FRIDAY, June 19 - Vendors OPEN 8:00AM - 11:00AM, 1:00PM - 5:00PM
SATURDAY, June 20 - Vendors OPEN 8:00AM - 12:00PM, 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Hosta Leaf Show - 2:00PM - 4:00PM

June 28 Saturday Annual CIHS Van Trip - Rockford IL Area, Private Gardens and Klehm Arboretum
7:00AM - Depart from ICC Horticulture Land Laboratory Parking Lot
8:30PM - Return to East Peoria
$55 per Person if riding in van
$30 per Person if driving in private vehicles
