CIHS Events Calendar - All CIHS Activities are Open to the Public
September 6, 9:00AM - 3:00PM Landscape and Garden Day @ Illinois Central College
Land Laboratory (Arboretum and Gardens) East Peoria Campus
CIHS will have a booth at this year's L &G Day like previous years. WE WILL BE SELLING SPECIALTY HOSTAS at this event at low prices! Most are divisions from the hostas on the grounds at the ICC American Hosta Society National Display Garden. Most are named hostas not found in local garden centers because they are of older registered varieties. Most hostas are $12 or lower each. Cash or check only accepted. Come see us at our booth early for the best selection. Funds earned from our booth will be donated to the ICC Horticulture Student Activity Fund.
Exciting speakers will have programs in the Horticulture Classroom. This year theme is S.T.E.A.M. Learn about how technology fits into your Garden or Landscaping.
A plant sale sponsored by the ICC Horticulture Students will also be held. Local Garden Clubs and vendors will have booths to ask questions about your gardening problems or sell merchandise.
Food will be available for purchase.
Stroll the grounds to see what's new at the Land Laboratory. The ICC Land Laboratory is always open to the public for viewing free everyday!
